British Formula 3 International Series

Formula 3 certainly needs no introduction. Over its storied 50-plus year history in Britain, the category has been home to some of the world’s greatest drivers.

Past Formula One greats Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet and Mike Hakkinen all developed their skills in British Formula 3 as did 2009 FIA Formula One World Champion Jenson Button. More recently, 2008 British F3 Champion Jaime Alguersuari moved into F1 the following season.

Throughout its history, Formula 3 racing in Britain has involved a variety of car and engine manufacturers. Currently, Dallara leads the way as the chassis constructor of choice for the vast majority of teams with powerplants from Mercedes, Volkswagen and Mugen-Honda.

Providing greater speed, more demanding braking and increased cornering loads in comparison to the one-make Formula Renault categories, Formula 3 is a much bigger challenge for young drivers aiming to climb the ladder to Formula One.

Although newer championships such as GP2, GP3 and World Series by Renault have arrived on the scene in recent years, Formula 3 remains a hugely important rung on the motor racing ladder and continues to produce genuine F1 stars of the future.

Menasheh made his Formula 3 test debut with Carlin Motorsport at Pembrey, South Wales, in September 2008 at the wheel of a Mugen-Honda powered National Class car. Thoroughly enjoying the experience and doing a sterling job, he returned to Pembrey with Carlin four weeks later for a further run out.

After concentrating on Formula Renault UK in 2009, Menasheh embarked on his third taste of Formula 3 in September of that year with the T-Sport team before conducting more testing last winter. For the 2010 Cooper Tires British Formula 3 International Series, Menasheh will compete with T-Sport in one of the squad's National Class Dallara Mugen-Honda cars for his debut season.
