Officially timed mid-season Michelin Formula Renault UK Championship testing came to a conclusion at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk this afternoon, Thursday, 25th June, with Menasheh Idafar once again producing great form.
Lapping with a best time of 1m05.133 seconds (107.88mph) today, which was set during the opening four hour session, the 18-year-old Gulf Computer Services and Ortolan backed driver ended day two just half a second shy of the outright pace and only two 10ths of a second outside the top 10.
Most impressively, on combined times covering the full two day test, Menasheh was an excellent sixth quickest thanks to his tremendous time of 1m04.681 seconds (108.64mph) on Wednesday.
Speaking after today’s seven-hour test run, which took place in baking hot conditions, Hillspeed’s Richard Ollerenshaw said: “The aim today was to build on the great work we did on Wednesday and Menasheh was in very good form again. To be sixth fastest overall after two intense days is an exceptional effort and bodes very well for us ahead of the next two rounds of the season.”
Silverstone GP track awaits Idafar next weekend
